Atmos Energy Increases Quarterly Dividend by 7.7 Percent

Atmos Energy Corporation (NYSE: ATO) said today that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend increase on the company’s common stock to 42 cents per share. The indicated annual dividend is $1.68, which represents a 7.7 percent increase over the Fiscal 2015 annual dividend of $1.56. This is the 28th consecutive year that the company has increased its dividend.

“As we strive to become the nation’s safest utility, the financial strength of the company allows us to make continued investments in our system, and also provide a return to shareholders,” said Kim Cocklin, chief executive officer of Atmos Energy Corporation. “We are pleased to increase the dividend at a rate that is more closely aligned with our earnings per share growth,” Cocklin concluded.

The dividend will be paid on December 7, 2015, to shareholders of record on November 23, 2015.
