Rocky Mountain region’s largest oil and gas upstream prospect expo
set for Dec. 9-10 in Denver
Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper will keynote the NAPE Business
Conference on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at the Colorado Convention Center in
Denver. Part of NAPE,
the largest oil and gas upstream prospect expo in the U.S., NAPE
Denver 2015 and the NAPE
Business Conference will connect attendees with firsthand knowledge
of oil and gas opportunities and prospects primarily throughout the
Rocky Mountain region.
“Gov. Hickenlooper has been a consistent advocate for responsible oil
and gas development through the adherence to the highest ethical
standards, values shared by the American Association of Professional
Landmen and NAPE partners,” said Jeanine Piskurich, Chair of the NAPE
Operators Committee. “The energy industry continues to be a key driver
of economic growth and prosperity throughout the Rocky Mountain region
thanks largely to his efforts, and we’re excited to have him join us at
the NAPE Business Conference.”
A lifetime entrepreneur, Gov. Hickenlooper was elected mayor of Denver
in 2003 and was named among the top five big-city mayors in America by TIME
magazine in 2005. When he was inaugurated governor of Colorado in 2011,
Hickenlooper became the first Denver mayor to be elected governor in 150
years as well as the first geologist to be elected governor in America’s
history. Gov. Hickenlooper’s goal is to create the most pro-business
state government, but with the highest environmental and ethical
standards.
Taking place Dec. 9-10, NAPE Denver 2015 will feature the expo’s new
faster-paced, streamlined format. The Business Conference will be held
Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with Gov. Hickenlooper
presenting at 11:15 a.m. The NAPE Exhibit Floor will open immediately
after the Business Conference for the first time at NAPE Denver.
NAPE is the oil and gas industry’s marketplace for the buying, selling
and trading of prospects and producing properties. With three expos
throughout the year, NAPE creates an environment where attendees can
have an expectation of doing business — bringing together all the
necessary parties to evaluate, fund and make deals. NAPE Denver 2015 is
expected to draw nearly 2,500 attendees and generate more than $5
million for the Denver economy.
