Comverge Japan to Implement Demand Response Program With Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions

TOKYO and NORCROSS, Ga., Nov. 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comverge Inc., the leading provider of cloud-based demand response and energy efficiency solutions for electric utilities, announced it has been selected by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to implement a demand response program for Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions (TGES). TGES, a subsidiary of Tokyo Gas, the largest gas company in Japan with more than 10 million customers, provides energy services such as cogeneration and other gas related equipment to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. TGES will utilize Comverge IntelliSOURCE software to communicate curtailment signals using OpenADR2.0b to combined heat and power (CHP) and energy management systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
