"Our new Community Customer Offices were strategically selected to be located right in the communities where our customers live and work," said David L. Johnson, vice president, Customer Service and Marketing, DTE Energy. "We know that many of our customers are already visiting these businesses for other reasons, and we hope that our relocation will provide a one-stop, more efficient and convenient means for our customers to handle their business with us."

DTE Payment Kiosks have been installed at the new community office locations, allowing customers to quickly and easily look-up and pay their DTE bills, for free, using cash, check and credit card. The kiosks are also located at a number of Rite Aid stores throughout the community, providing even more convenience to customers.

"We've been working hard to introduce a number of self-service account access and payment options for our customers over the past year that provide them with quick and easy ways to access and pay their bills, compare electricity and gas usage data, and sign-up for programs to help them better manage their accounts," Johnson said. "In addition to the 25 payment kiosks located throughout the community, our customers can access their accounts and pay their bills on the dteenergy.com website and DTE Energy Mobile app, both of which are free and accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

DTE representatives will be available in the Community Customer Offices for customers requiring help with more complex issues that cannot be taken care of with the self-service options. Both the Northwest Activities Center and Focus Hope offices will open for business Monday, January 25. Operating hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m.4:30 p.m.

In addition to Payment Kiosks, DTE offers a variety of other self-service payment and billing options that are free and available to customers 24 hours a day seven days a week to help them more easily access, manage and pay their bills.

  • Customers can receive their DTE bill electronically every month with eBill Paperless Billing, and have the added convenience of not worrying about forgetting to pay their monthly bill with AutoPay.
  • Additional self-service payment options available to customers include online at dteenergy.com and via the DTE Energy Mobile app (dteenergy.com/mobile).
