The company enters 2015 with $4,200 million in liquidity and more than $6,000 million of projects that will come online within the next two years. The company is at the high end of its desired Adjusted EBITDA to Debt range of 3.5x to 4.0x, partially due to the $6,000 million acquisition of Oiltanking Partners in the quarter.

  • Recap: Operating revenue of $1,060 million with net income of $203 million ($1.85 per share), representing respective increases of 20% and 17% in Q4’14 and Q1’14. HP expects activity in its onshore U.S. segment to decrease by 25% in Q2’15, while its international segment is expected to drop by 10% to 15%. 2015 expenditure guidance placed at $1,300 million, up from 2014’s total of $950 million.

  • Recap: The big news is the $15 billion reduction in capital expenditures for the next three years, even though Shell’s 2014 budget was 20% lower than 2013 numbers. Shell has sold more than $30 billion in assets since 2011. Full year 2014 production was 3,080 MBOEPD – a decrease of 4% YoY but is up 2% pro forma for asset sales. Income attributable to shareholders was $2.38/share in 2014, a YoY decrease of 8%. Q4’14 contributed only 5% of income ($773 million) for the full fiscal year ($15,052 million).

  • Recap: Fiscal 2014 net income of $3,630 million ($6.88 per share), an increase of 33% compared to 2013. Net income from the refining segment increased by 40% YoY.   • Recap: Closed 2014 as its “most profitable year ever,” reporting fiscal 2014 operating income of $346.5 million ($5.77 per share, increase of 3.9% YoY). Income from its production segment (the largest of three segments) increased by 6.8% YoY. CLB currently has $266.8 million in free cash flow and paid out dividends of $2.00 per common share in 2014, which the company says is the highest among its competitors. Management projects earnings per share of $1.05 to $1.10 in Q1’15, down approximately 20% from Q1’14 totals due to the commodity downturn.

  • Recap: The embroiled company’s long-awaited Q3’14 results were released, but were completed in-house and did not include writedowns involved with the recent scandal (much to the chagrin of investors and firms alike). The writedowns are likely to occur in Q4’14 (anticipated release in April). Based on the unaudited results, consolidated net income for the nine months ended Sept. 30, 2014, was R$13,439 million, down 28% from the same period in 2013. One of the documents obtained by Reuters explained possible future asset writedowns of R$61,400 million, or roughly US$20,000 million. Conference call scheduled for 11:00am on January 29.
