In his new capacity Steve will lead the company's development of new business opportunities and oversee its legal, regulatory, and government affairs functions. Steve has been in private law practice for the past nineteen years and has concentrated his practice on renewable energy project development and environmental regulatory matters. Last year he was the recipient of The Charlotte Business Journal's Energy Leaders Award and he has consistently been recognized as one of the leading environmental lawyers in
. Steve will remain a partner in the law firm of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP
on a part-time basis and will continue to serve as co-leader of the firm's Energy Team.
