Denver-based Focus Tools, an MWD (Measurement-While-Drilling) oil and gas drilling tool manufacturer, has undergone significant changes in the past few years.
The company’s path has paralleled the trailblazing nature of the shale revolution by incorporating advanced technologies and simple, reliable designs into MWD tools that work in the harshest downhole conditions—including 200°C drilling environments.
To communicate its advanced design and manufacturing capability, the company launched a new website that mirrors the tools it makes for the oil and gas industry: “simple, advanced, reliable.”
“We wanted to have a website that represented our company better,” said Focus Tools founder Darcy Wiebe. “Our company has evolved a lot in a short period of time and our website was almost three years old. We had launched new products that weren’t represented on the site as well as having old products that were no longer available.”
Created by EnerCom, the new Focus Tools website – www.FocusMWD.com – tells the story of the company and its advanced products with simplified messaging and stunning product photography. “We took our design keys straight from Focus Tools’ own mantra for creating its products,” said Erik Carlgren, art director at EnerCom, team lead on the new Focus Tools website.
“Their old website was not mobile friendly. It was outdated. It was written like a tech brochure and gave the appearance of a static fact sheet,” Carlgren said. “The company is changing and dynamic in their approach to the products they build. They have morphed from a company that was servicing tools to one that designs and manufactures some of the most advanced MWD tools in the industry. We wanted to create a website that reflects who they are today.”
