Houston-based E&Ps Taking Charge in Host Committee

Nine leading oil and gas companies have signed on to support and assist the planning of Super Bowl LI, scheduled for February 5, 2017, in Houston, Texas. The Houston Super Bowl Host Committee has already invested $4 million to the events and activities leading up to Super Bowl Sunday. The companies include:

  • Anadarko Petroleum (ticker: APC)
  • Chevron (ticker: CVX)
  • ConocoPhillips (ticker: COP)
  • Energy XXI (ticker: EXXI)
  • Halliburton (ticker: HAL)
  • Hess Corporation (ticker: HES)
  • Noble Energy (ticker: NBL)
  • NRG Energy (ticker: NRG)
  • Royal Dutch Shell (ticker: RDS.B)

In the press release, Dave Lesar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Halliburton, said: “Halliburton is proud to be a Founding Sponsor of the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee. The Super Bowl and its surrounding community events will leave a lasting and positive economic impact. We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with the Host Committee to make Super Bowl LI a resounding victory for the region.”

Mr. Lesar is also serving as the Finance Chair for the Committee.
