Priority Power Management commemorates being a trusted energy advisor
since 2001
Priority Power Management, LLC (“PPM”), a Texas-based leading
independent energy management and consulting services firm, celebrates
its fifteen year anniversary this month. Established in 2001, PPM has
evolved from a regional electricity aggregator to a full service energy
management and consulting services firm providing comprehensive energy
solutions to commercial, industrial and governmental clients across the
United States.
Fifteen years ago, Pat Ennis, the Founding Principal of the firm, left a
20-year career at TXU Energy to pursue providing electricity advisory
services to retail electricity customers soon facing choices in service
providers as the state of Texas prepared to deregulate its electricity
market in 2002. At the same time, a group of oil and gas executives in
Midland saw a business opportunity to create a company that would
aggregate the power needs for their oil and gas production, as well as
other companies, to provide larger buying power for competitive retail
electricity supply in the competitive market. The two came together, and
PPM was founded.
“What started out 15 years ago as a small company with a couple of
employees has steadily grown into a business far exceeding anyone’s
expectations,” said Pat Ennis. "We are all very proud of this
accomplishment and grateful to our customers and employees who helped
get us here."
A few of PPM’s customers that it has served since its founding offered
these comments:
“We have been a Priority Power customer for 15-years and rely on them
for just about everything related to power – from our supply management
needs to large infrastructure projects – even if it’s in a regulated
cooperative area. We appreciate their approach in being very
hands on and proactive, and we view them as a critical part of our
company that delivers many benefits,” commented Billy Bledsoe, Henry
Resources, LLC.
“Energen Resources Corporation has been a client of Priority Power
since mid-2001. They have created value for our company by
helping us reduce energy costs for our operations, managing price risks
for our energy supplies and improving our energy efficiency. As our
operations have grown over the years, Priority Power has helped us meet
our increased power needs. They have worked with us guiding us through
the many changes in the power markets over the years and they continue
to stay on top of new changes every day. We are extremely happy with our
relationship with Priority Power and their representatives and hope to
continue this relationship in the years to come,” commented Joe D.
Niederhofer, Vice President of Permian Basin Operations, Energen
Resources Corporation.
“Endeavor Energy Resources, L.P. takes this 15th
anniversary year for Priority Power to say: Great Job! Electric
load management from early stages of deregulation through high and low
gas commodity values, several booms and busts has been a constant
management challenge. Every step of the way Priority Power has
skillfully navigated this ever changing market. Thanks for your
service. Here’s to 15 more years!” commented Bradley Bates,
Petroleum Engineer – Special Projects, Endeavor Energy Resources, L.P.
“Today, Priority Power Management provides comprehensive energy
solutions to over 1,900 customers, 28,000 electricity and natural gas
accounts, and managing approximately $1 billion in annual energy spend,”
said John Bick, Managing Principal of the firm. “We pride ourselves with
keeping our customers’ interests as our singular focus, and seeking new
creative and innovative solutions to meet our customers’ business
challenges.”
