Terry Barr, Chief Executive Officer of Samson Oil & Gas Limited (SSN), presented today at EnerCom’s The Oil & Gas Conference® 17. The company, based in Perth, Australia, holds development and exploration acreage in the United States. It focuses its oil production in the Niobrara and Bakken formations and holds interest in North Dakota, New Mexico, Texas, Wyoming and Montana.

During the company’s breakout session, management was asked the following questions:

  • In your presentation you mentioned that you were disappointed in Montana and Bakken, but you believe that it can be salvaged. Can you provide insight on this? Is it a location issue?
  • How do you finance the acreage you are acquiring?
  • Are you conducting a vertical or horizontal drill in the Clipper location?
  • Can you give us an operation synopsis of Australia and the stages you go through in your drilling?
  • You addressed the maturity of the rock formation in the mid-Bakken region, and there is a saturation of your coil. For your Abercrombie well, do you think it is a rock issue, a reservoir issue, or something else?
  • With your new development projects, do you see going back to the capital markets to raise capital?
  • What is your stance of having debt knowing that your current debt is zero?
