Saturn Minerals Inc. Announces Addition to Advisory Board

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Dec. 11, 2015) - Saturn Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SMI)(FRANKFURT:SMK) ("Saturn" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Wayne Slemp has joined the Advisory Board and is significantly bolstering the Company's operating technical team with regard to the Company's oil and gas projects.

Wayne Slemp has over 43 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and 37 years directly related to drilling operations in Canada and internationally both onshore and offshore. Mr. Slemp has worked extensively in the Canadian oil and gas drilling industry in western Canada as well as internationally in Pakistan, Syria, Chad, Kazakhstan, Libya, Norway, Denmark, Bangladesh, Oman, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Borneo, Indonesia and the West Coast of Africa. In his career Mr. Slemp worked as a (senior) Drilling Supervisor and Superintendent for Aral, BP, Glencore, Petro Canada and Repsol, among others.

Mr. Slemp has worked on vertical, directional and horizontal well operations on submersibles, jack-ups and various land rigs. Mr. Slemp has extensive experience working with mechanical and hydraulic liner hangers, DV tools, perforating guns, stage tools and many other down hole tools commonly utilized in the industry. Mr. Slemp also has experience in running and pulling completions with a demonstrated ability to ensure that safety policies and procedures are kept at the forefront in all operations on location.

Mr. Slemp is advising and assisting the Company with the drilling of Saturn's Bannock Creek 9A-5 well scheduled to spud on or before December 15, 2015, subject to favourable ground conditions (see news release dated December 8, 2015). Working with North Rim Exploration Ltd. and Axiom Exploration, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who have been contracted by Saturn to provide all logistical support and drill, Mr. Slemp will be on site prior to and during the entire drilling operation of the 9A-5 well.

The new advisory board member is a welcome addition as Saturn further develops its Bannock Creek and Little Swan properties in Saskatchewan's Williston Basin to a new oil and gas region. "It is a great opportunity to get an oil veteran such as Wayne Slemp on the Advisory Board. His experiences in the oil business, especially on the technical side will create additional value for Saturn and its shareholders," stated Stan Szary, CEO of Saturn.

The Company also announces that pursuant to the Company's Stock Option Plan it has granted 150,000 stock options at a price of $0.20 per common share to Wayne Slemp. As per the Company's Stock Option Plan, the options granted are exercisable until December 11, 2020 and vest over a period of 18 months from the date of grant. Grant of the options is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
