SaveOnEnergy.com Reveals 2015 Teacher Grant Recipients

DALLAS, Nov. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SaveOnEnergy.com®, an online energy marketplace, has selected six teachers across North America to receive $500 each for their classrooms. This new initiative benefits teachers and students and creates more awareness about the environment and energy. SaveOnEnergy.com is committed to encouraging others to learn more about energy, and the Teacher Grant is one way the company hopes to promote and inspire energy education.

Grant recipients each receive a $500 Visa Reward Card to use toward the required materials needed to execute their lesson plans and additional classroom necessities to enhance the quality of learning for students. Winners were selected based on a set of criteria that included creativity, innovation, encouraging student participation and development, and encompassing environmental and sustainable learnings.

All winners are accredited teachers who created a resource that can help others teach students about an energy-related topic. Check out all six lesson plans along with other resources in our Kids Learning Center.

The SaveOnEnergy.com Teacher Grant opportunity will re-open in Summer 2016.
