TB Concepts Announces Opening of New Sales Office in Calgary, Alberta

MONTREAL, QC--(Marketwired - October 20, 2015) - TB Concepts Inc. (the Company, Insuguard®), a privately owned, Quebec-based business, announced today that it is expanding its operations in Western Canada. The new sales and marketing office located in Calgary, Alberta, initially opened for business in August 2015, with today's announcement officially launching the office's presence in Western Canada. The new sales office supports the marketing and distribution of TB Concept's line of Insuguard pipe hanger systems used in commercial refrigeration and heating pipe systems.

TB Concepts Inc. is a private business with 22 employees and based in Montreal, Quebec, manufacturing and marketing their unique patented pipe hanger system which eliminates mechanical damage to insulated pipe caused by constant expansion and contraction of the pipes while in service. The company, which was started in a garage in 1998 by two entrepreneurs with a single product to reduce energy loss in refrigeration equipment, has developed and markets over 6 patented pipe hanger solutions. The "TB" in TB Concepts stands for Thibeault and Boudreau, the names of the two entrepreneurs who founded the Company. Martin Boudreau, one of the founders and President of the Company, was joined by Christian Montplaisir in 2007 as co-owner and Vice President of the Company, handling sales and marketing.

With well-established sales in eastern Canada and the United States, the Company saw an opportunity to open a western Canadian office to expand its sales-reach across Canada, servicing the growing industrial and commercial construction markets, particularly in Alberta. Calgary was chosen, as it is centrally located, to service the western Canadian market from BC to Manitoba. Alberta is also the largest growth market for industrial, commercial and institutional construction in western Canada. With many head offices for oil and gas, engineering and service companies, Calgary was a natural fit to complement the Company's eastern operations.

Why is a small, privately-owned manufacturing company from Quebec expanding into Alberta? While the "sky is falling" in the Alberta economy with the collapse of oil prices, TB Concepts saw opportunities to grow its business in Calgary. In fact the Company believes that the current energy slowdown is short term and that now is the best time to enter the western Canadian market. Martin Boudreau, co-founder and president of the Company said, "We have spent considerable time in assessing the market and planning this expansion and we have tremendous optimism in the strength of the western Canadian market. We are an entrepreneurial company and we like the similar attitudes and values we see in western Canada, particularly in Calgary."

The new sales office in Calgary is managed by Gerald Blair P. Eng. who will be working with Insuguard's distribution network to market TB Concept's patented products to end users, architects and engineering firms focusing on the product's benefits for improving energy efficiency, minimizing maintenance and repairs, ease of installation and reduced costs. According to Gerald Blair, "Market acceptance for the Insuguard systems has been very positive across our western Canadian distribution chain and our end user markets. We see the western Canadian market as a key to the growth and expansion of our manufacturing operations."

The Company's Insuguard products work well in new construction and retrofit, repair and rehabilitation applications. Insuguard is sold primarily through plumbing distributors and suppliers, who in turn sell to plumbing companies and insulation installers. According to Mr. Boudreau, "The key feature of our products is that they minimize mechanical damage to pipes from expansion and contraction while carrying liquids at varying temperatures. This eliminates energy loss from damage to insulation, maintenance costs and the risk of pipe failure and collateral damage. Our products are also much easier to install than regular pipe hangers which benefits building owners with reduced installation costs."

According to Mr. Montplaisir, North American growth in demand for Insuguard products is being driven by big box stores like Walmart, Safeway and Loblaws choosing the Insuguard hanger systems in their store locations. Along with an expansion into western Canada and the United States, the Company is also currently expanding into the Australian, African and United Arab Emirates markets.

Along with ongoing research and development investment by the Company for new energy efficient products, TB Concepts is also working with trades and technical training schools like NAIT and BCIT in their insulation and piping programs on the safe and effective installation of insulated lines. TB Concepts plans on releasing new products and services in the coming months, so as Gerald Blairs says, "Stay tuned for more exciting news."
