Investment enables Advanced BioCatalytics to expand its manufacturing
capacity and development of a new class of industrial Protein-Surfactant
Complex™ (P-SC™)
Advanced BioCatalytics Corporation (ABC), a company leading
breakthroughs in surfactant synergy technologies, announced today it has
closed an expansion round of investment led by BP Ventures. The funding
will be used to build out ABC’s manufacturing capability to support the
growing demand of its patented ultra-high performance Protein-Surfactant
Complex™ (P-SC™) and allow for further development in oil and gas sector
applications.
P-SC™ is a biotechnology rooted in leveraging fundamental forces of
nature by harnessing essential compounds to provide unique benefits. ABC
currently offers its unique and patented product line under the Accell®,
Accell Clean® and AccellGreen® trademarks.
“This financing underscores the potential of ABC’s patented technology
to disrupt multi-billion dollar industries,” said Chris Harano, CEO and
president of ABC. “We are ushering in an entirely new way to enhance
performance of various chemical formulations as well as other
microbiology metabolic processes which can be applied across multiple
verticals from industrial, water treatment, marine and energy.”
“We’re seeing the emergence of the next age of surfactants,” said
Harano, “and along with the support of our investors, partners and
customers, we’re transforming the way micro-proteins can be designed to
dramatically improve industrial surfactant performance at a scale and
cost that is competitive with traditional methods. BP is the perfect
partner to help ABC expand its offering and scale appropriately.”
Protein-Surfactant Complex™, P-SC™, Accell®, Accell Clean®
and AccellGreen® are trademarks of Advanced BioCatalytics
Corporation.
