AIRIS Expands Its Industrial Hygiene Consulting

TULSA, Okla., Feb. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- With the recent changes to OSHA's respirable crystalline silica dust exposure regulation, AIRIS Wellsite Services announces an expansion of its Industrial Hygiene Consulting services in response to increased demand from wellsite operators.

AIRIS Wellsite Services is the market-leading provider of industrial hygiene consulting and silica dust control. AIRIS’ Total Dust Control Solution® puts wellsite operators and pressure pumpers on the path to total compliance and harm-free wellsites. With regional offices in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Pennsylvania, AIRIS provides services throughout the Rocky Mountains, Mid-Continent, Northeast and Texas regions.

"Our expanded Industrial Hygiene Consulting services will give clients far better insight into what is really happening at their wellsites," said MacLean Price, Executive Sales. "Most Industrial Hygiene professionals have limited or no experience on an active wellsite during Hydraulic Fracturing operations. AIRIS' Industrial Hygiene professionals are the experts in silica assessments."

AIRIS has completed exposure assessments for the full range of sand delivery configurations across the US shale basins. "Wellsite designs and operations vary widely and current assessment results are exhibiting a high degree of inconsistency. Wellsite operators need to test their set up designs to get an accurate picture of their compliance status. Understanding current compliance status ahead of OSHA's enforcement date is a key piece to the puzzle," added Price.

The new ruling is complex, lengthy and becomes enforceable in June 2018. OSHA has recently announced a commitment of $11 million to add seventy-four enforcement officers. OSHA's commitment to enforcement will have direct impacts on wellsite operators. AIRIS' expanded Industrial Hygiene Consulting will help companies avoid the hefty fines and legal risk awaiting those not in compliance.

Grant Goetz, Executive Sales for AIRIS, reminds us, "Time is running low, as we're a mere 4 1/2 months away from an enforceable regulation. Oil and Gas companies have a unique opportunity to evaluate where they stand and make refinements before exposure assessments become mandatory on June 23, 2018. We are very excited to be able to meet the demand of our customers and help them where the need is of critical importance."

Partnering with AIRIS to achieve total compliance helps companies achieve business sustainability and protect their most valuable assets – people.
