Alon Blue Square Announces Record Date for Upcoming Payment on Series C Debenture Postponed

YAKUM, Israel, October 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

Alon Blue Square Israel Ltd. (NYSE: BSI) (hereinafter: the "Company") announced today that it has postponed from October 25, 2015 until October 29, 2015 the record date for the upcoming payment of principal and interest on the Series C Debentures (the "Payment") scheduled for November 4, 2015 (the "Original Payment Date"). The Series C Debenture trustee's approval for the postponement of the record date was given without approval to change the Original Payment Date. Postponement of the Record Date was done in accordance with applicable law. To the extent required, the trustee notified that the issue of postponing the Original Payment Date past November 4, 2015 will be raised by him at a meeting of the Series C Bondholders.

The Company is working to exercise its sources of financing designated for the Payment (through a beneficial transaction with its parent company) and is holding intensive discussions with all its financial creditors in order to receive their approval to enable making the Payment on a date close to the Original Payment Date. The Company notes that exercise of such sources of financing and receipt of approval of financial creditors in the upcoming days are crucial for making the Payment close to the Original Payment Date.
