Argentine national oil company YPF reached a deal with EOG Resources to acquire the latter’s upstream Argentina assets for US$4mn.
The assets comprise a 43.2% working interest in the Bajo del Toro and Cerro Avispa conventional E&P concessions in Neuquén province, YPF said in a statement.
YPF already was the 46.8% WI operator of the two areas, which produced a combined 535m3 (3,365b) of crude oil and condensate in June, according to data from the energy and mining ministry.
The transaction makes YPF the 100% owner and operator of both licenses.
