This week’s Baker Hughes rig count shows that U.S. numbers declined by 8, resulting in the total count falling to 822. Canada decreased by 5 last week as well, resulting in a total Canadian count of 142.
Breakdown by region
Of the regions tracked by Baker Hughes, the regions that experienced a decrease this week were:
- The Granite Wash is at 0 rigs, down 1 from last week;
- The Haynesville is at 51, down 1 from last week;
- The Marcellus is at 40, down 2 from last week;
- The Mississippian is at 2, down 1 from last week;
- The Permian is at 416, down 1 from last week, and
All other regions saw no net change in the active rig count.
