U.S. rig count decreased by 3 is at 584

This week’s Baker Hughes Rig Count shows that the U.S. decreased by 3 over last week, resulting in a total count of 584 rigs. Canada had a decrease of 8 over last week, resulting in a total Canadian count of 120 rigs.

Breakdown by region

Of the regions tracked by Baker Hughes, only the Haynesville region experienced an increase this week.

Meanwhile, 3 regions experienced a decrease this week:

• The Eagle Ford is at 46, down 1.
• The Permian is at 287, down 2.
• The Utica is at 10, down 3.

All other regions saw no net change in the active rig count.
