BuildingIQ Secures Industry Partnerships and Expands Reach of Predictive Energy Optimization™ Platform

Continues strong growth pattern across Australia and the United States leading up to A$20 Million IPO

BuildingIQ, a leading energy management software company, announces that it has continued to solidify its position as a market leader in recent months. Key company milestones achieved in the 3rd quarter 2015 include:

  • Selected for government initiatives in Australia and the United States
  • Secured two patents for its innovative Predictive Energy Optimization™ platform
  • Surpassed 140 buildings under management - 35 million total square feet
  • Announced a partnership with major utility provider, Xcel Energy

  • Entered an agreement that will promote its platform to BSA Group’s portfolio of commercial building clients
  • Expanded presence across higher education sector with installations at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), California State University, Jefferson State Community College, University of South Florida, and the University of Miami

In Australia, BuildingIQ has become an approved supplier for services by the New South Wales Office of Environment & Heritage (OEH). As a result, projects utilizing BuildingIQ’s technology are now eligible for government funding that could contribute up to 80 percent toward costs.

In the United States, BuildingIQ advanced its partnership with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Energy Solutions for a scaled deployment of its platform across New York State through the Emerging Technology Accelerated Commercialization Commercial-Institutional (ETAC-CI) program. To facilitate market adoption, the program will offer training as well as installation incentives per building. On the energy supplier side, BuildingIQ began a pilot program with Xcel Energy, which serves more than 3.3 million electric customers and 1.8 million natural gas customers.

Meanwhile, BuildingIQ continued to enhance its library of intellectual property by securing two patents for its innovative three-loop methodology, which involves a unique combination of continuous learning over hours, minutes and seconds.

BuildingIQ’s technology and leadership continued to be recognized with the company being named the National iAward winner in Sustainability. In addition, chief technology officer, Peter Dickinson, received an HVACR Leadership Award for Emerging Energy Savings Leader of the Year from Climate Control News, a leading industry publication.
