PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cline Group LLC is pleased to announce it has appointed Mr. Paul Vining as its Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Mr. Vining assumed the leadership of Cline Group affiliate, Cutlass Collieries, LLC in February of this year as its Chief Executive Officer and has spent the balance of the year leading acquisitions and potential acquisitions of coal operations in North America and Australia. Mr. Vining will remain CEO of Cutlass Collieries.
In a related move, Mr. Vining was appointed President of Foresight Reserves, LP which controls mineral interests in North America and is the sponsor of Foresight Energy LP.

Paul H. Vining has 35 years of industry experience has held senior leadership, operational and commercial positions with several mining companies including President & COO of Alpha Natural Resources; CEO of White Oak Resources; President & COO of Patriot Coal Corporation; President & CEO of Magnum; SVP of Marketing and Trading at Arch Coal, Inc.; President of Ellett Valley CC Inc.; EVP for Sales and Trading at Peabody Energy Corporation; President of Peabody COALTRADE and SVP of Peabody COALSALES.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. Vining earned undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Mineral Engineering from the College of William & Mary and Columbia University respectively as well as a graduate degree in Extractive Metallurgy, also from Columbia.
