Coates International, Ltd. Expects to Complete the CSRV Green Engine Technology Retrofit to a Cummins Industrial Electric Power Natural Gas Generator Set Within a Couple of Weeks -- Photos of the Project's Progress Are Being Posted on the Company Website -- www.coatesengine.com

WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ--(Marketwired - Mar 18, 2016) - Coates International, Ltd. (OTC PINK: COTE) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that the retrofit of the Coates CSRV green engine technology to a Cummins industrial natural gas electric power generator should be completed within a couple of weeks. Progress photos will be posted on the Company website: www.coatesengine.com. We intend to use this engine for demonstration purposes to secure new business opportunities we are currently working on, after which, the Company intends to sell and install this unit with an end user customer. We will also begin producing additional units once this first unit is completed.

Company President and CEO, Mr. George J. Coates, comments: "At our Company headquarters and R&D plant we are working on a number of different projects. We expect to have our CSRV green engine technology retrofit to a Cummins industrial engine generator set completed in the next two weeks. Progress photos are being posted on the Company website: www.coatesengine.com."

The reason for this retrofit to an industrial Cummins engine generator set is the Cummins engine as it stands is not able to operate primetime or continuously. They are only able to operate in emergency back-up operation. Natural gas is not a good combustion engine fuel as it does not contain any lubricity; it is absolutely dry and poppet valve engines burn out with continuous operation. On the other hand, the Coates CSRV green engine technology system will operate continuously with no adverse effects because of the CSRV rotation action, self-cleaning and lower temperature operation reduces wear and tear and also reduces fuel consumption and lowers the production of harmful emissions.

The Cummins engine operating temperature averages 220° F. The Coates CSRV operating temperature is 180° F. This makes a big difference in the longevity of the power unit and a major reduction in harmful emissions produced such as CO, HC and NOX.

There can be no assurance that the Company will be successful in any of its endeavors.
