Columbia, SC awards New Flyer a contract for 75 Xcelsior® buses

WINNIPEG, July 11, 2016 /CNW/ - (TSX: NFI) (TSX: NFI.DB.U) New Flyer of America Inc., a subsidiary of New Flyer Industries Inc. ("New Flyer" or the "Company"), the largest heavy-duty transit bus and motor coach manufacturer and parts distributor in North America, announced today The Comet, formerly known as the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority ("CMRTA") located in Columbia, South Carolina has awarded New Flyer a contract for up to 75 Xcelsior® heavy-duty transit buses.

The five year contract includes a firm order for eight Xcelsior clean diesel 35-foot buses with options to purchase an additional 67 35-foot Xcelsior buses powered by either clean diesel or compressed natural gas.
