Construction Begins on the First Public-Private Partnership CNG Fueling Station in Texas

CNG Energy Partners, LLC has signed a ten year contract with the City of Lake Jackson to build, operate and maintain a public access compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station located at 204 Medical Drive in Lake Jackson, Texas. The commercial truck friendly CNG fueling facility will support the increasing local desire to embrace the latest environmental technologies and reduce pollution levels in their surrounding communities.

Deployment of this CNG fueling station was made possible through the implementation of a Public-Private Partnership (P3) business model enabling municipalities and other government entities to work together with private companies to achieve mutual goals. The P3 legal structure allows the City of Lake Jackson to not only save money by utilizing CNG for their own fleet, but also share the benefits of CNG fueling with the local community. The construction process is currently underway, with its opening projected for December 2015.
