DIVERGENT Energy Services Corp. Announces Director Resignation, Results from Its Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders and Appointment of New Chairman

DIVERGENT Energy Services Corp. (the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:DVG) announces a Director's resignation, results from its annual and special meeting of shareholders that was held on May 17, 2016 (the "Meeting") and appointment of a new Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Scott Berry has resigned as Chairman and a Director of the Corporation effective May 16, 2016. Ken Berg, President and CEO states, "Mr. Berry played a significant role in the early development and transition periods of the Corporation. We thank him for his service and contributions since 2009 and wish him the very best in his future endeavors."

The shareholders of the Corporation approved all of the matters to be acted upon at the Meeting, including the election of incumbent directors Ken Bagan, Ken Berg, John L. Grisdale, Martin Hall and Robert Riecken. Mr. Ken Bagan has been appointed as Chairman of the Board.
