Granite Oil Corp. Breakout Notes

Michael Kabanuk, president and CEO of Granite Oil Corp., (ticker: GXO) presented today at EnerCom’s The Oil & Gas Conference® 22.

Granite Oil’s operational core is in the Bakken siltstone play, located in Southern Alberta. Granite is primarily concerned with the play’s enhanced oil recovery development—which have taken the form of natural gas injection.

During the company’s breakout session, management was asked the following questions:

  • Do you observe more gas production out of the wells accompanied with the associated with gas lift operations?
  • Are you looking for other opportunities in terms of assets or new pools?
  • What will you place the gas point/analysis at? What is the API number? How much will it cost to implement the re-injection gas plan in the field?
  • How do you prioritize which exploration/development project to pursue?
  • When was the last well drilled in the area
  • How much tonnage can you operate at currently? Please clarify on the 66 lb/ft that you mentioned earlier.
  • Are you still open or willing to explore the east side of the main pool?
  • How are the service costs going/running? What is your plan to utilize your available credit?
  • Are you hydraulically fracturing your injection wells?
  • Did shell attempt to develop the western side of the pool/play? Are you currently chasing the middle Bakken or some other play?
  • There seems to be some disparity within your dividend reports and the successes of the play. What are your thought on this disparity and how those this affect your capital expenditure?
