Burton's accomplishments will be recognized in Washington, D.C. on April 13, 2016.

Burton Energy Group, an ENERGY STAR partner since 2008, will be honored for being one of the most outstanding American providers of energy efficiency services to the commercial and industrial marketplaces, and for introducing new services focused on water and waste reduction in 2015.

"Burton truly values our partnership with ENERGY STAR," said George Plattenburg, Managing Partner. "It's exciting to see the impact we've made through our delivery of energy efficiency program services for some of the nation's largest owners and operators of diverse facility portfolios, and we remain committed to continuing our work to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment. We are pleased to share this recognition with all of our clients, and thank them for allowing us to be part of their teams and programs."

Since its inception in 1992, ENERGY STAR and its partners have helped prevent a total of more than 2.4 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions. In 2014 alone, ENERGY STAR and its partners provided more than $11 billion in societal benefits due to reducing damages from climate change.

"I'm proud to recognize Burton with the highest form of ENERGY STAR recognition, as the winner of the 2016 Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award. Burton Energy Group demonstrates a strong commitment to energy efficiency and to preserving a healthy planet for future generations."
