Exclusive Interview: Luke Essman, Canyon Creek Energy President & CEO - Oil & Gas 360

Canyon Creek Energy operates oil and gas assets in Oklahoma and has a rich history focusing on developing the natural resources of the Mid-Continent region.

Essman partnered with ArcLight Capital Partners, a Boston private equity firm, to form Canyon Creek Energy Partners and successfully divested the company’s assets to BP-America in the fall of 2015.

Canyon Creek and Pivotal Petroleum Partners II, LP announced this spring they are jointly funding the development of wells on CCEA’s acreage in Atoka, Coal, Hughes and Pittsburg Counties, Oklahoma, targeting the stacked pay formations in the expanding Arkoma STACK play. The partnership will accelerate CCEA’s drilling activity across the company’s 100,000-gross acre operated leasehold position.
