Bellatrix Exploration: In Q3 and Q4 we expect to meet or exceed our guidance

At its recent 2017 The Oil & Gas Conference®, EnerCom’s Oil & Gas 360® conducted an exclusive video interview with Canadian producer Bellatrix Exploration (ticker: BXE) President & CEO Brent Eshleman.

Bellatrix is focused on developing its two core resource plays, the Cardium and the Notikewin/Falher intervals in Western Canada.

The Cardium has the potential to add substantial reserves, production and long term economic value, the company said. The Notikewin/Falher in Alberta’s deep basin boasts abundant, liquids-rich natural gas with compelling economics. Both plays have thick resource rich reservoirs with exceptional subsurface control.

Bellatrix brought in Eshleman to lead the company beginning in Feb. 2017. The company has made significant changes to its balance sheet and refocused its operational strategy under Eshleman. Bellatrix’s total net debt has been reduced to $383 million from $718 million in the 18 months from Jan. 1, 2016 to Jun. 30, 2017. In the same period Bellatrix reduced its bank debt to $13 million from $341 million.

In 2017, 99% of total corporate production and 100% of capital investment is focused in the Greater Ferrier, Willesden Green & Pembina areas of Alberta.
