CFO McCollum leaves Halliburton to lead Weatherford; HAL General Counsel Robb Voyles named interim CFO 

Halliburton Company (ticker: HAL) announced earlier in the week that its chief financial officer Mark McCollum left the company in order to take the post of president and CEO of Weatherford International plc (ticker: WFT).

“After conducting a thorough executive search the board determined that Mark’s significant industry experience, proven track record and leadership expertise makes him the ideal choice to lead Weatherford,” William Macaulay, Weatherford’s chairman, said in a statement. Executive Changes at Halliburton and Weatherford

Weatherford said Krishna Shivram would depart as Weatherford’s interim CEO effective immediately and that Christoph Bausch, Weatherford’s executive vice president and CFO would serve as acting Chief Executive until McCollum assumes the CEO role in a permanent capacity in late April 2017.

McCollum served as Halliburton’s CFO in 2008 and resumed that post in July of 2016 following an interim role as chief integration officer during the pendency of Halliburton’s proposed acquisition of Baker Hughes.  Prior to joining Halliburton McCollum had served as CFO of Tenneco, Inc.

Voyles takes over the CFO duties at Halliburton

At Halliburton, EVP and General Counsel Robb L. Voyles was named interim CFO. Halliburton said Voyles will manage the CFO responsibilities in addition to his current responsibilities as general counsel until a replacement is found. Halliburton has engaged an executive search firm to conduct a comprehensive search for its next CFO.

Voyles joined Halliburton in 2013 and is a member of the Halliburton executive committee, the company said in a press release. Voyles had previously served as a senior partner at Baker Botts L.L.P. where he served as chair of the litigation department and as a member of the executive committee.
