Former U.S. Department of Energy Public Affairs Chief Joins kglobal

WASHINGTON, Nov. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- kglobal, one of the nation's most innovative and dynamic communications firms, has hired public affairs veteran Andy Beck as Managing Director.

Beck, who has extensive experience in the Energy and Financial Services sector, has also served as Director of Public Affairs in the U.S. Department of Energy, as the senior communications and outreach advisor at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and as a senior communications counselor in the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Most recently, Beck led Makovsky Integrated Communications' Energy, Manufacturing and Sustainability Practice and was General Manager of its Washington, D.C. office. In that position, he provided strategic communications and marketing direction, brand positioning, media relations and social media counsel to corporate and association clients.

Prior to his work at Makovsky, Beck was the Chief Communications Officer at Lighting Science Group, directing the company's internal and external communications, government relations, social media outreach and investor relations activities. Before his tenure at Lighting Science Group, he was the Senior Vice President and head of MWW PR's energy and environmental practice in Washington, D.C.

Earlier in his career, Beck worked for two prominent trade associations, the National Automobile Dealers Association and the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America.
