Magazine today ranked Green
Generation Solutions, LLC (GreenGen) number 380 on its 35th
annual Inc. 5000 with revenues exceeding $11 million in 2015, up
more than 1,000 percent since its inception in 2011. The Inc. 5000 is an
exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. It
represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of
the American economy—its independent entrepreneurs.
“Making the Inc. 5000 list is a great milestone for us. As
entrepreneurs, we took a chance that the marketplace was interested in
investing in energy efficiency solutions that make good business sense.
As this list confirms, building owners and executives are looking to
operate in the ‘green,’ and we look forward to helping them drive
energy-related financial returns while going green,” said Brad Dockser,
CEO of GreenGen.
Out of the top 500, GreenGen was among nine companies from Maryland and
one of only two from Montgomery County, MD. Similar companies were
listed under several categories including solar and energy. Among these
firms doing demand-side energy work, GreenGen ranked fifth.
GreenGen is a fast-growing energy solutions provider that engineers and
implements comprehensive energy efficiency solutions for commercial,
industrial, healthcare, hospitality, and governmental facilities around
the world. GreenGen integrates energy and real estate private equity
expertise with financial analytics to produce well-executed plans that
lower buildings’ operating costs while improving
sustainability. GreenGen’s wide array of services include: high
efficiency lighting retrofits, HVAC and building controls optimization,

CHP/microgrid development, “smart building” systems, and energy data
analytics.
Since its inception five years ago, GreenGen has generated more than $4
million in annual energy-related savings for its clients, creating
long-term value for clients’ assets and businesses. In that time, the
firm’s annual revenues have grown in excess of 1,000 percent, and staff
has more than doubled, as the firm has expanded globally, recently
opening offices in London and Tokyo.
The 2016 Inc. 5000 was unveiled online at Inc.com
and the top 500 companies—including GreenGen—are featured in the
September issue of Inc. The average company on the list grew
nine-fold over a three-year period. Collectively, the Inc. 5000
companies generated 55,000 jobs.
