(World Oil) – Halliburton has secured a multi-year contract from Aramco to provide integrated stimulation and completion services for unconventional gas development in Saudi Arabia’s Jafurah basin, supporting one of the world’s largest unconventional gas programs.
The award is part of a broader multi-billion-dollar contract and expands Halliburton’s role in Aramco’s unconventional development program, where the company provides drilling, stimulation and completion services across multiple plays.
Beginning in the third quarter of 2026, Halliburton will deploy the Kingdom’s first fully integrated intelligent hydraulic fracturing platform using its OCTIV® Auto Frac automation system and Sensori™ fracturing monitoring services. The company said the technologies will optimize fracturing performance in real time while improving operational efficiency, execution consistency and multi-well campaign performance.
“This award highlights our long-standing collaboration with Aramco and builds on more than 80 years in the Kingdom, while advancing unconventional gas development,” said Rami Yassine, president, Eastern Hemisphere, Halliburton. “Beginning in the third quarter of 2026, Halliburton will deploy the Kingdom’s first fully integrated intelligent fracturing platform.”
According to Halliburton, the integrated service model combines digital workflows, intelligent automation and real-time monitoring to improve execution reliability and operational efficiency across high-intensity unconventional developments.
Development of the Jafurah basin continues to accelerate as Saudi Arabia expands domestic unconventional gas production. To support the program, Halliburton said it plans to increase investment in local manufacturing, strengthen its supply chain and expand workforce development initiatives within the Kingdom as activity grows.
