Commissioning ceremony in Montgomery, PA. The generating station:

• Powers up to 1,000,000 homes

• Expected to contribute $5.85 billion to the Pennsylvania economy

• Supports a long-term market for Pennsylvania gas royalty owners

• Utilizes the latest, most advanced emissions-control technology, making it one of the cleanest natural gas-fueled power plants in the United States

• Is cooled with air rather than water — not drawing water from, or discharging water into, the Western Branch of the Susquehanna River — eliminating potential impacts to sensitive species in the watershed

• Uses Siemens H-class gas turbines — the world’s first generation technology to achieve operating efficiencies of 60 percent.

• Gene Yaw, Senator for Pennsylvania’s Twenty-Third District

• Garth Everett, State Representative for Pennsylvania’s Eighty-Fourth District
