The new organization is part of the strategy to expand the presence of Mersen's electrical segment in the overvoltage protection market. Mersen's first new product launch in North America is the Surge-Trap NEMA Type 1 surge protective device series. The new Surge-Trap line includes six surge protection products designed and manufactured by Mersen with the latest materials, layouts and components, including the industry leading TPMOV Technology. All are NEMA devices for ANSI/UL 1449 Type 1 and 2 applications, indoor and outdoor use, and provide UL96A lightning protection plus a variety of other features and benefits to meet clients' needs.
