"We are experiencing above average temperatures and energy use, and we expect this to continue throughout the summer," said Eric Baker, president and chief executive officer at Wolverine Power Cooperative.

Wolverine and its members broke their all-time peak record for the first time in five years on Saturday, June 30, and again on Sunday, July 1. As temperatures remained high into this week, Wolverine again set a new record on Tuesday, reaching a peak of 710 megawatts.
