MIRAMAR, Fla., March 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Michigan Gas & Electric ("MIG&E"), a U.S. Gas & Electric company and supplier of natural gas to commercial and residential consumers in the State of Michigan, announced today that the organization is providing its customers residing in Flint, Michigan, with cases of bottled water in order to assist with the ongoing water crisis.
In addition to providing cases of water, MIG&E, on behalf of the Company and its employees, has made a donation to The United Way of Genesee County to support local community relief efforts dedicated to Flint, Michigan. The United Way of Genesee County has set up a dedicated Flint Water Fund. One hundred percent of the monies received goes directly to the purchase of filters and bottled water for Flint residents, as well as other emergency support services and prevention efforts (http://www.unitedwaygenesee.org/).
