Netherlands company to rebuild sewage treatment facilities in Kazakhstan

Oct. 31-- Oct. 31--Kazakhstan's Housing and Utilities Center company and The Netherlands' Witteveen + Bos signed a memorandum of understanding on implementation of the program for construction and reconstruction of sewage treatment facilities in Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to the press office of prime minister of Kazakhstan.

This and four other documents were signed during the 5th Kazakhstan-Netherlands Business Forum held in Hague, The Netherlands. Prime Minister Askar Mamin and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte participated in the forum.

The first agreement signed during forum is an agreement between the Kazakh company K-Agro and the Dutch Farm Frites on creation of a joint venture for production of French fries in Kazakhstan's Zhambyl region. Total cost of the project is $145 million.

An agreement between JSC NC Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary and the NEASCO group of companies was signed on cooperation projects implementation on Earth remote sensing and geographic information systems.

Furthermore, Kazakh National Agrarian University and the University of Wacheningen signed a memorandum on cooperation in training Kazakh agricultural students. Wacheningen University is one of the world's leading centers in the field of natural sciences, natural resource management, crop production and livestock raising.

Kazakhstan's Dal Agro Park and Dutch Greenhouse Delta signed a memorandum on cooperation in construction of an agricultural park in the Kazakhstan's Turkistan region on the territory of 200 hectares.

Kazakhstan and the Netherlands have established a constructive dialogue that promotes the regular exchange of visits at all levels.

According to statistics of Kazakh party, the main products imported to the Netherlands from Kazakhstan are crude oil and petroleum products, titanium and its products, including waste and scrap, ferroalloys, petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons.

The main products imported to Kazakhstan from the Netherlands are medicine, tractors, equipment and devices for filtering or purifying liquids or gases, instruments and devices used in medicine, surgery, dentistry or veterinary medicine, flowers. -- Follow the author on twitter: @nargiz_sadikh
