Noble Corporation plc (ticker: NE) elected Julie J. Robertson as the new CEO and announced the retirement of Chairman, President and CEO David W. Williams. The leadership succession plan calls for Williams to remain with the company through February 2018, serving in an advisory capacity.
Julie Robertson has served as the Noble’s executive vice president since 2006. From July 2001, she served as senior vice president – administration and has served continuously as corporate secretary since December 1993. Throughout her tenure she has played a role Noble’s leadership and in September 2017, was named to the company’s board of directors.
Noble is a London based offshore drilling contractor for the oil and gas industry with its fleet of 28 offshore drilling units, consisting of 14 drillships and semisubmersibles and 14 jackups, focused largely on ultra-deepwater and high-specification jackup drilling opportunities in both established and emerging regions worldwide.
