MIDLAND, Mich., Nov. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Midland Cogeneration Venture ("MCV") is pleased to announce the appointment of Doyle N. Beneby, Jr. as President and CEO. Mr. Beneby will replace Tom Elward, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MCV, who has been serving as interim CEO since July. Mr. Beneby will join MCV on November 6, 2018, and will report directly to the MCV Board of Directors.
Mr. Beneby is recognized as an accomplished leader in the industry, with over 30 years of experience in traditional and renewable power generation, and electric and gas utilities. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of New Generation Power International, a start-up, international energy company headquartered in Chicago, while concurrently serving as a corporate board Director for several publicly traded companies. Prior to New Generation Power, Mr. Beneby served as CEO of CPS Energy, the largest public electric and gas utility in the United States, and President of Exelon Power.
Mr. Beneby holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Montana Technical College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami.
