NGV displayed at show

Oklahoma City Community College is displaying a compressed natural gas vehicle at the OKC International Auto Show at State Fair Park, which continues through Sunday. Visitors are invited to learn more about the clean-burning fuel and how fleets across the country use it.

Representatives of OCCC's automotive and alternative fuels programs will answer questions about the vehicle and programs offered by the college's Professional Development Institute. For more information, contact director John Claybon at 682-7855 or jclaybon@occc.edu.

OU, OSU sports legends to serve

University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University sports legends will serve pizza and work for tips to support Upward Transitions from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hideaway Pizza, 901 N Broadway.

Upward Transitions programs serve people who are homeless or on the verge of becoming homeless. Scheduled to appear at Celebrity Wait Night are Matt Clark, Leroy Combs, Scott Hill, Thomas Lott, Rick Mason, Obi Muonelo, Charlie Newton, Greg Sellmyer, Shaunte Smith, Paul Thompson, Warren Thompson, Donovan Woods, and Steve Zabel. The Thunder Girls will also make an appearance.

Upward Transitions offers financial assistance with rent and utilities and relocation for victims of domestic violence. It directs clients to resources that assist with life skills training and education to improve employment potential. The agency also operates information booths at Will Rogers World Airport -- staffed 365 days a year by volunteers -- to assist visitors to
