Pacific Energy Development Announces Q2 2016 Results with Quarterly Operating Profit, Significant Decrease in Operating Expenses, and 95% Decrease in Accounts Payable

Focused on Completing Merger with GOM Holdings

DANVILLE, CA / ACCESSWIRE / August 11, 2016 / PEDEVCO Corp. d/b/a Pacific Energy Development (NYSE MKT: PED) today reported results for the quarter-ended June 30, 2016.

Compared to the quarter ended June 30, 2015, during the quarter ended June 30, 2016, the Company successfully reduced total operating expenses by nearly $1 million per month, from $3.9 million to $1.0 million over the quarter, realizing its first quarterly operating gain in over a decade. Also, during the quarter, the Company reduced its accounts payable by 95% from $3.4 million to only $171,000.

Commenting on the results, Michael L. Peterson, President and CEO of the Company, stated, "We are very pleased with our Q2 results, particularly with achieving our first quarterly operating profit and effectively paying off our accounts payable, which we believe validates our significant efforts to reduce our operating costs and streamline our organization to better survive the continued challenging oil price environment and position us to thrive as oil prices rebound. We were able to achieve these results, notwithstanding continued low oil prices, through increasing operational efficiencies, cutting G&A costs and restructuring our senior debt. With our financial house now in order, we are now fully-focused on moving forward with our planned merger with GOM Holdings, which merger we are hopeful will close as early as the end of Q3 2016, and which we believe will be highly accretive to shareholder value."
