Perella Weinberg Partners (PWP) announced today the formation of a
strategic advisory board. The Advisory Board will provide the firm’s
management team with strategic advice on key industry and
business-related matters.
The seven initial members of the Advisory Board are: Walter Isaacson,
Aspen Institute President and CEO; Jorma Ollila, former Royal Dutch
Shell Chairman; Robert Pozen, former Fidelity Investments Vice Chairman;
Ivan Seidenberg, former Verizon Communications Inc. Chairman and CEO;
Jane Sherburne, former Senior Executive Vice President and General
Counsel for BNY Mellon; Daniel Yergin, IHS Vice Chairman; and Robert K.
Steel, PWP CEO.

This Board will replace and expand the firm’s previous Advisory Council,
which was formed eight years ago.

Walter Isaacson
Walter Isaacson is President and CEO of the Aspen Institute, an
international nonprofit dedicated to fostering enlightened leadership
and open-minded dialogue. He is also a renowned author of such books as The
Innovators and Steve Jobs, with a distinguished career in
journalism, including his positions as Chairman and CEO of CNN and
Managing Editor of Time Magazine.
Jorma Ollila
Jorma Ollila is the former Chairman of Royal Dutch Shell, the world’s
largest oil company. He held the positions of Chairman and CEO of mobile
phone maker and technology company Nokia Corporation from 1992 to 2012.
Mr. Ollila joined Perella Weinberg Partners as an advisory partner in
2014.
Robert Pozen
Robert Pozen is a former Vice Chairman of Fidelity Investments. He
served as Chairman of MFS Investment Management from 2004 to 2010. His
public sector experience includes his tenure as Secretary of Economic
Affairs for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and service as a Member of
the Commission to Strengthen Social Security. He is a Senior Lecturer at
Harvard Business School, a Visiting Senior Lecturer at MIT and a Senior
Research Fellow at the Brookings Institution.
Ivan Seidenberg
Ivan Seidenberg is the former Chairman and CEO of Verizon
Communications, the largest telecom company in the U.S., and was the
force behind the mergers which created Verizon. He is the former
Chairman of the Business Roundtable. Mr. Seidenberg joined Perella
Weinberg Partners as an advisory partner in 2012.
Jane Sherburne
Jane Sherburne is the owner of Sherburne PLLC, a consultancy that gives
strategic advice related to crisis management, corporate governance
matters, litigation and investigations and government relations. Over
the past 14 years, Ms. Sherburne has served as General Counsel to large
financial institutions (BNY Mellon, Wachovia and Citi Global Consumer
Group). From 1994 to 1997 Ms. Sherburne served as Special Counsel to the
President in the Clinton White House.
Robert K. Steel
Robert K. Steel is Chief Executive Officer of Perella Weinberg Partners
and Chairman of the firm’s Advisory Board. He has served as New York
City’s Deputy Mayor for Economic Development, Under Secretary for
Domestic Finance at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and CEO of
Wachovia Corporation. In 30 years at Goldman Sachs, his roles included
Head of the Global Equities Division, Vice Chairman of the firm and a
member of its Management Committee. Mr. Steel is Chairman of the Aspen
Institute;s Board of Trustees and has served as Chairman of Duke’s Board
of Trustees.
Daniel Yergin
Daniel Yergin is Vice Chairman of IHS. With over 9,000 employees, IHS is
one of the world’s largest research companies, with business lines
focused on energy, chemicals, automotive, aerospace and defense,
economics and country risk, and electronics and media. He was founder of
IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates, which was one of the leading
energy advisory firms in the world. Dr. Yergin is the author of several
books, including bestsellers The Quest and The Prize, the
latter of which was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, became a number one New
York Times bestseller and has been translated into 19 languages. The
