Philadelphia Homeowners Can Save this Spring with Energy Efficiency Rebates

Joseph Giannone Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning encourages Philly residents to take advantage of rebates from local utility companies and energy star programs when upgrading their homes

PHILADELPHIA, March 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Early spring is an ideal time for Philadelphia residents to upgrade or replace their heating and air conditioning, and local home services company Joseph Giannone Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning recommends taking advantage of valuable, locally available HVAC rebates.

Joseph Giannone Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning recommends homeowners take advantage of locally available rebates to update or replace their HVAC this spring.

"Switching to more energy-efficient heating and air conditioning systems gives homeowners significant savings over time on their energy bills," said Joseph Giannone, owner of Joseph Giannone Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. "Adding a rebate opportunity just makes it that much easier and beneficial for homeowners to make these changes. We want all our Philly neighbors to get the best value they possibly can."

Giannone recommends that Philadelphia homeowners consider these rebate opportunities:

  • $1,000 back on central air conditioning. One local third party energy star rebate program is offering up to $1,000 on new central air conditioning systems that meet energy-efficiency criteria.
  • $1,000 back on a heat pump. Also from the energy star rebate program, this rebate gives qualifying homeowners $1,000 back on new heat pumps that meet the rebate's efficiency standards, or $800 back on qualifying efficient geothermal heat pumps.
  • $25 back for a central air tune-up. Provided by a local Philadelphia utility company, this rebate will help homeowners save on energy costs by making sure their systems are operating at maximum efficiency this summer. Proof of annual tune-ups are often required to maintain valid manufacturers' warranties.

"These rebates are a win-win for Philadelphia homeowners, and we thank our local utilities and programs for making them available," said Giannone. "Our service experts can help homeowners choose the best system for their space and help them take advantage of any rebate opportunities that might apply."
