RMP Energy Inc. Announces Closing of $34.5 Million Bought Deal Financing

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - March 24, 2016) -

RMP Energy Inc. ("RMP" or the "Company") (TSX:RMP) is pleased to announce that it has closed its previously announced "bought deal" equity financing (the "Equity Financing"). Pursuant to the terms of the Equity Financing, RMP issued, on an underwritten basis, 24,495,000 common shares of the Company ("Common Shares") at a price of $1.41 per Common Share for total gross proceeds of $34,537,950, which includes the exercise in full of the over-allotment option granted to the underwriters. The Equity Financing was underwritten by a syndicate of underwriters led by Macquarie Capital Markets Canada Ltd. and including Cormark Securities Inc., FirstEnergy Capital Corp., National Bank Financial Inc., Scotia Capital Inc., GMP Securities L.P., Peters & Co. Limited and Dundee Securities Ltd.

The net proceeds received by the Company from the Equity Financing will be used to initially reduce indebtedness and for general and corporate purposes.
