Russia Is No.2 Destination for Zhejiang E-commerce Exports

ZHEJIANG, July 6, SinoCast -- Hangzhou Customs declared foreign trade of CNY 20.12 billion between Zhejiang and Russia in January-May period, rising 17.6% from a year earlier. Exports climbed 4% to CNY 15.43 billion and imports hiked 110% to CNY 4.69 billion.

The foreign trade leaped 43% from a year ago and 15.1% from a month earlier to CNY 4.95 billion in May alone. Exports jumped 16.7% from a year earlier and 11.8% from a month ago to CNY 3.5 billion. Imports increased 210% from a year ago and 23.9% from a month earlier to CNY 1.45 billion.

Zhejiang imported refined oil of CNY 1.85 billion from Russia in January-May period, rising 120% from a year earlier, taking up 39.4% of the total imports. Imports of crude oil reached CNY 1.08 billion, accounting for 23% of the total.

Exports of Zhejiang to Russia for garments hiked 12.2% to CNY 1.88 billion. The figures for electric appliances, electronic products, lamps and agricultural products respectively leaped 14.2%, 39.5% and 78.8%. Exports through e-commerce network jumped 720% to CNY 330 million. Russia has become global second biggest destinations for e-commerce exports by Zhejiang.
