Tony Sanchez, president and CEO of Sanchez Energy Corporation (NYSE: SN), presented today at EnerCom’s The Oil & Gas Conference® 20.

Sanchez Energy Corporation is an independent exploration and production company focused on the acquisition and development of unconventional resources  onshore in the U.S. Gulf Coast with a current focus on the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas, where the company has assembled approximately 231,000 net acres, and the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale.

In the second quarter 2015, Sanchez reported total production of 4,907 MBOE, up 164% over the second quarter 2014 and increased full year 2015 production guidance by 4% to 46,000 to 50,000 BOE/D.

During the company’s breakout session, management was asked the following questions:

  • How do you decide further investment in the TMS?
  • What is the firm’s well cost and fracing efficiency within Sanchez? Are they part of your capital allocation strategy?
  • In your presentation, we noticed geological changes from west to east. Can you justify your geological model, and how are your production results following that model?
  • You showed us a slide in the presentation that talked about the development of the Catarina. The plan looks to be more efficiency-driven than pricing-driven. Can you justify that?
  • You mentioned that Sanchez has a budget for TMS investment. Is HBP (held by production) part of your investment strategy, or do you have extensions on that?
