(World Oil) – Superior Energy Services has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Sonic Holdings, LLC, expanding its production equipment and wellsite services portfolio with the addition of a provider of electric feed-through technologies, drilling wellheads and aftermarket services.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to close during the third quarter of 2026.
Founded in 2017, Sonic has built a presence in the Permian Basin through its portfolio of proprietary electric feed-through (EFT) technologies, production equipment and direct-to-operator business model. The company also provides drilling wellheads and related aftermarket services.
Superior said it plans to integrate Sonic into its Wellsite Solutions segment, strengthening its portfolio of specialized products and services across the well lifecycle while expanding its exposure to production-related operations.
“Sonic is an exciting acquisition for Superior and represents our initial expansion into a production-driven product line, growing our exposure to the less cyclical side of the oil and gas business,” said Dave Lesar, chairman and CEO of Superior Energy Services.
Brody Whitley, CEO of Sonic Connectors, said joining Superior will allow the company to accelerate growth and broaden the reach of its technologies while continuing to serve its existing customer base.
Superior said the acquisition aligns with its strategy of expanding its portfolio of mission-critical wellsite products and services while increasing its presence in production-focused markets.
