The Refinery Mission to Receive $6K Grant from Home Bank and FHLB Dallas

OPELOUSAS, La.

11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 3; 704 West South Street, Opelousas

Home Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) will award $6,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to The Refinery Mission, which helps homeless men transition out of incarceration, rehab, mental health facilities and other organizations. The grant will be used for facility improvements.

The media is encouraged to join local dignitaries and bank representatives at a check presentation at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019, at The Refinery Mission at 704 West South Street in Opelousas.

The structure of the PGP enables FHLB Dallas member institutions to contribute $500 to $4,000 to a community-based organization (CBO), which FHLB Dallas matches at a 3:1 ratio.
