Transactive Energy Markets Provide New Opportunities for Distributed Energy Resources

A new report from Navigant Research analyzes the pace of global adoption of transactive energy (TE) markets.

While fully-fledged TE markets will take many years to mature, there are significant drivers that create a positive environment. TE markets can help manage volatility caused by high concentrations of distributed energy resources (DER) in parts of the distribution network. California and New York are two leading contenders, because of their DER-friendly energy policies.”
